The Plot Summary of House M.D.

The show was created by David Shore and executive produced by Shore and film director Bryan Singer. The show revolves around Dr. Gregory House (British actor Hugh Laurie), a cynical medical genius educated at Cornell University[citation needed] and then Johns Hopkins Medical School with an addiction to painkillers and a damaged leg arising from an incorrect diagnosis, who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH).
Dr. House often clashes with his boss, hospital administrator and Dean of Medicine, Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), and his diagnostic team, because his theories about a patient's illness tend to be based on subtle or controversial insights. House's only true friend is Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), head of the Department of Oncology. House's original diagnostic team consisted of Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), and Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps).

I can't wait to add the DVDs to my entertainment collection alongside other classics such as X Files.

Absolutely love House MD!!! Hugh is PERFECT as the grumpy, sardonic, sarcastic, yet wounded Dr. Gregory House. Oh yeah, and he's incredibly sexy!!

This is a great series, I was very septical about "another" Medical doctor series with the genre flooding the market. EX: ER, Scrubs, Dexter and many more. But my friend let me borrow the first season and I have been hooked ever since. Anyway great show, Dr House is outragous, funny, and outragously funny I recommend the series to everyone!

House, M.D. is bar none the best drama (medical or otherwise) to come along in a virtual drought of worthwhile viewing. The five star reviews, posted here, are for the most part accurate and to reiterate is redundant. I will focus on the differences between the two popular (medical) drama series listed here, both usually in the top ten best sellers. Grey's Anatomy will appeal to the evening soap opera crowd, who also liked Friends (and is swayed easily to chuckle along with the laugh track, instead of the actual dialogue and whose view of real world is somewhat fantasy based). House, on the other hand. Nuff said!
