The show primarily dealt with US Navy and Marine lawyers in the Judge Advocate General Corps investigating and prosecuting cases involving military law. It starred David James Elliott as Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr., a former F-14 pilot turned JAG lawyer. The creator of the show was Donald Bellisario, who created several popular action shows including Magnum, P.I., Airwolf, and Quantum Leap. NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is a spinoff of this show.
